Microsoft Misleading Advertising![]() Home

"It's 1900. Do you know where your email is?" That was the point of a
major Microsoft advertising campaign aimed at Lotus cc:Mail, which was, at the
time, admittedly not Y2K compliant. Microsoft urged cc:Mail users to switch
to Microsoft Mail before it was too late.
Now, with cc:Mail long Y2K compliant, Microsoft has issued a bulletin urging Microsoft Mail users to upgrade to Microsoft Exchange or download and apply extensive patches because Microsoft Mail is not Y2K compliant.
