SAS Ports to Linux![]() Home

SAS announced they will port their data
warehousing and decision support software to several Linux distributions by
the end of this year. These are packages used by large corporations for heavy
information analysis, which indicates growing confidence in Linux capability
within large corporations.
SAS vp for R&D, Keith Collins, explained "Based on positive customer feedback, as well as the increasing number of Fortune 1000 companies looking seriously at Linux as a viable operating system for their enterprise applications, we felt that the time was right for us to offer a Linux version of SAS software". |
